Soldano Avenger Low Input

Hi Soldano lovers!
I am the very proud owner of a Soldano Avenger 50W but alas I am still having some trouble with the Low Input on this amp.
I have Sovtek 5881/6L6GCs installed and it is biased at 28ma. The High Input is phenomenal and I can get the exact sound I am after from it. I am running the amplifier into a Soldano 2x12 Cabinet with 2 Celestion Classic Lead 80 speakers.
MASTER VOLUME 5
For the life of me I am having a hard time understanding/using the Low Input of this amplifier. Does anyone here have any experience and/or suggestions how to get the most out of this input? I can get a somewhat useable tone by dropping the Bass to 5 and boosting the Treble to 6 and taking out the Depth completely but I would be curious to hear any advice from other Avenger owners or any that have used this amplifier before.
Also a bit of a tech question - can the Avenger be modded to bypass the V2 tube instead of the V1 to achieve a similar tone to the Hot Rod 50+ Normal Channel? I used to own a Hot Rod 50+ and found the Normal Channel absolutely phenomenal and a lot more useable than the Low Input on the Avenger.
Thanks so much in advance for any advice or comments.

Not the same.
V1 is bypassed in Low input to achieve more clean headroom from a higher master volume setting. You can't AB between high and low either, Mike tried it and didn't like it.
