Actually, yes! I just bought a T.C. G Major 2 for my HR50. I am still in the learning phase and messing around with it, but it works flawlessly. I used to have an original G Major 1 and this is more user friendly. The effects are better also.

Also, totally unrelated, I just picked up an original Peavey 5150. I am having fun with that also. Although the HR is better, the 5150 is a rock monster in it's own right.

Woo Hoo! G Major is a great processor. Can you set up a patch for a volume boost for solos? 5150's are classic for sure! Congrats!

I just bought a 3rd SLO. I found the Anerican Flag one that's on Soldano's website. Used to belong to Mike. grin

Wow!! You have the American flag SLO? That is too cool.

Yes, the G major is able to be set up for a volume boost. You can set the decibel level of patches, so it is very easy to do.

One sad story. I had to sell my month old hot rod 50! Out of work! The oilfield drilling industry is in a very sad state right now and no relief in sight. But I will recover, regroup and be back with another hot rod later! I was really digging it!

Sorry to hear that Jeff. I was under the impression the oil industry was doing well out in the Dakotas and such, but evidently not. I hope you get back to work soon and score another HR.

Thanks, it was luck finding it but it's very cool looking (sounds killer) and came with a flight case. Didn't really need another SLO but I couldn't pass it up. Thankful my wife understands and is very supportive! grin

How does the GMajor sound?

G Major is sounding awesome. It's doing just what I need, just some delay and reverb. It really works well with the Soldano loop. I was running a Bad Cat Unleash with pedals in the Unleash effects loop. In the end, I just wanted to go to rack effects with MIDI control. The G Major also has relays in it that switch the amp channels to whatever you have programmed via a MIDI foot controller. So one MIDI button will be clean with reverb, and the next button will be overdrive with delay, for example. And it's transparent. T.C. makes good stuff.

I agree, TC Electronic makes quality gear! I'm running the Flashback and Corona Chorus and they sound great! Very transparent with the analog signal-through circuit.

Yep, been running a Gmajor, now a G major 2, in the loop of my SLO for gigs for years. Very transparent, and I LOVE the relay function. As I mentioned before, it basically makes the preamp of the SLO like a midi preamp........changes channels with no gaps in sound to accommodate the selected effect patch. Awesome.
