Hello Soldano Forum Members

This is my first post on the forum. As of last week I have been the proud new owner of a Soldano Decatone. This amp is unreal and I instantly sold my Mesa Rectoverb. Havent had any kind of buyers/sellers remorse since. I am currently running my Deca into a Mesa Standard Recto 412, the oversized model, with 2 V30s and 2 G12H 30th anniversary.

My guitars are a 2014 Les Paul Traditional with 59 Tribute pickups and an ES339 with Bare Knuckle Abraxas calibrated set and 50s Tone circuit, BKP 550k pots .022 Jensen Cap on Treble, .015 Jensen cap on rhythm.

Guitars run into Ernie Ball Volume, Vintage 70s dunlop wah, Exotic AC booster/compressor, xotix BB preamp, boss super overdrive, bogner ecstasy red, TC electronics X4 delay/looper.

With the flexibility of the decatone and my pedal board i have every tone i need at the flick of a switch. Until now i havent found a 3 channel amp that is as useful as the Deca. My experience being mostly with Mesa's (as my user name implies) a dual rec, and rectoverb 50, i had found it difficult to dial in channels that sounded fitting from one to the other, and always lacking in the clean channel. Mike Soldano's design for the deca has changed my veiw of what a multi channel amp can do. Its always a pleasure tweaking knobs and seeing how many great tones i can coax with different guitars and cabs in the mix. All without ever getting lost from the tones i enjoy the most.

Bottom line is that I am so grateful for this amp and the opportunity to purchase it.

Lets hear aome of your experiences with your Decatone.

Welcome and Congrats....

Deca is a great amp that covers everything easily. You'll really dig it as time goes on. Don't chase tube configurations, speakers give way more tonal changes when needed. Plug and play. Bam.
