Is it that little blue disk with a slit notched out of it? If so, which way do you turn it for a hotter bias or
vice verca? <<<<<I wonder if that is how one spells "vice verca?"

Yes, that's the disc you want to turn.

The correct way to adjust the bias is with a bias tester ( http://www.amp-head.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=30&osCsid=6ba5019b0230b92b7eea05c18f33dd4b ) and a mulitimeter. I just had my amp opened up on Friday and we checked the bias. It was very very low, at 14mv, so we bumped it up to 30mv - (where it should be) - we could hear the tone change while we adjusted it. This SLO has incredible BALLS!

If you look down the housing, with the power tubes on the right, I "believe" we turned the pot counterclockwise to increase. I dont exactly remember because I watched the tech do it, from the opposite side. Not much movement was required, though.
