Yea so yestorday i was at a music store and saw a Yamaha T-100 " Soldano Designed"...ive played the SLO-100 and blah wasent inpressed..sorry guys it didint have the low end i like in amps...no balls...GAIN it did have..it had gain for days...so i was like, geeez this Yamaha is prob even worse..ehh lets plug it in..so i plug it in and its godly tone...this thing had GAIN up the wazzooo and low end too...Ive had a VH4 and in gain this killed it and matched the tones id get from it..now i have 2 VHT pitbulls( a UL and a CL)....plus this Yamaha cause i just had to get it...so i get home, im like geez this amp is too much..i bet its moded or something...the only way to tell its a Yamaha is in the back, theres no name or logo on the front ..unlike all the other T100s, so i looked online and saw some pics..mine is definetly moded, in the back it has 2 switches, a 2 tube switch ( 1/2 power ) and a pentode switch. in the front theres a switch that increases the gain in the dirty channel. this amp is unbeliveble. the store were i got it did not know what kind of amp they had, i belive its better then the SLO-100s ( ive played 2..never played any other Soldanos)....now my question, who moded this damn thing..does Soldano Mod these?
Its soo damn good i have someone wanting to trade it for a $2700 Brunetti head!

Cool deal bro! Yeah I can see how one would think the slo doesn't have enough bass, especially at anything less than half way turned up. YOu turn that thing up to 12 or 12:30 and set it down in a band situation and it is the absolute definition of BALLS. I play in a modern hard rock band, with a little EVH/VAI thrown in, and my slo easliy stands up with big muscles against the rhythm guitarsist's older 2 channel triple recto, which, IMO, is one of the bassiest amps around. cool

Soldano will mod them. They quoted me $75 for a depth mod on my T100. Bill Sundt was kind enough to send me the schem so I could do it myself.

I ended up selling it after I got my Decatone. The T100 was a good amp but I definitely prefer my Deca.
