xx A couple of songs with SLO!
« Thread started on: Mar 6th, 2004, 04:22am »

Hi.
As I do not have any chance to make some clips, You could listen to a couple of songs "all SLO" if You like.
Go to my bands side www.trendkiller.tk.

Songs:
1. Chasing Dragons (all SLO, exept lead BadCat HotCat-100). Cab: Old Marshall412 with GB's (G12H-30's).
2. Wasteland: All SLO.
Cab: Soldano 412 with old GB's25W / GB's 20W.
(The last song "Unkind" is a mix of a Bogner XTC101B / SLO).
Guitars: 2000 '59 LP-RI with TomHolmes, 1970 LPC with Duncan Custom (main guitar). Lead outro on "Wasteland" is with a Music Man VH-Sign.
Mic: Shure SM58Beta. No fx's, just straigtht. Rec. at our rehearsal place, no fancy studio.

More new songs to come, incl. some live tracks.
(You might have to go to the "Norwegian pages" to load the mp3's).
Cool with some comments!
smiley

Thanks.

let me tell you TorbjornIsaksen2B, part of my decision to get a SLO was liking the sound of your clips. Here's the deal. I rarely hear clips of amps on the web that I like at all. Especially 5150 clips, but yet I know I like 5150's because I own two of them, and have recorded some great recordings with them. When I heard your slo clips with the whole band, I was like, "wow, this amp might actually work for me." And I already had the, I guess, common knowledge that if one likes a 5150, he will probably love the slo. I now own a part of rock history and will never look back. There is just something majorly addicting the way those amps, when turned up, just sit in the mix so effin huge, and then have the power and ease to just cut through the loudest rhythm section when you step out and solo. I couldn't be happier.
Great clips!!

Hi bstark777.
Thanks for the kind words. smiley
I'm glad to be of help, and I think You def. will like Your SLO for years to come.
This amp has been around for many years, and as other amps "come and go", IMO the SLO is still up to this day one of the "best" amps out there.

Take care, and good luck with Your first gig with the SLO!
You'll most likely get some nice feedbacks of the guitartone, it just seems to happen with the SLO. cool

BTW this smiley is so scary I just have to see it used at least once here!!!!!!!!!!!!! kiss
