Here is a stock SLO with stock tubes against a metal type drum track I did a few weeks ago. More to come soon!

I like the sound of that man! When I get mine w/ the depth mod I will do some Metallica style stuff, with other shred like Racer X. wink

The good thing about that clip is that it shows the amp can go really "low" without going muddy - it still retains clarity. Nice sound too!

Strange drum track for metal though smiley

Loved that "zakk wylde" harmonic sound! What are the stock tubes in your SLO? Mine had them swapped out a while ago and has Sovtek 12ax7 and 6L6.

Mind telling what your EQ settings were? I am looking to get a tone similar to yours, but with a little bit more midrange, and my low end is loose. I need to switch tubes....

Sorry, been out a while! grin Sovtek are stock in mine...same as the new ones except now they use a JJ-ECC83S in V1, the rest is still the same. EQ was something like (using amp numbers-not time):
preamp 6.25
bass 7
mid 4.25
treble 5.5
prescence 5.25
master 0.8

EMG 85 used close to strings (9-42) neck thru guitar med light snappy feeling pick (Ultex .60) I usually use pick size 1.14 .
