Voodoo Labs Analog Chorus
Post by Heritage80elite on Mar 1st, 2012, 7:21pm

Borrowed a friend's Voodoo Labs analog chorus for a gig last night, and man does this pedal sound nice. Been using an ancient Boss CE-3 for years, and never realized how sterile that pedal sounds compared to the Voodoo. Makes the SLO clean channel sound really warm!

Are you running it through the loop or out front of the amp ?

I'm running it in front of the amp. Don't like the way the tone changes when I run effects thru the SLO loop.

Cool , if you want to hear an awesome chorus through the loop that works perfect try this....

It's got an input volume / overload knob to knock down the +4 db signal down to make floor pedals work in the Soldano loop correctly. Chorus through the loop is the bomb followed by some delay.

have you tried an older CE2 rather than the CE3? much more organic sounding and closer to the CE1 which the voodoo lab is based on. Saying that though, the voodoo lab is prolly way cheaper than buying a vintage CE1

Thanks for the heads up! Looks like a really cool pedal!

I very rarely use effects with the SLO and I really like true bypass pedals so my tone isn't affected when the pedal is off. That's really my only knock against buffered Boss pedals.

Was really lucky and scored the Voodoo for $95 off Craigslist. Still in the box with the original warranty papers too!

Nice One! you were lucky, because i looked at voodoo labs website and the chorus is discontinued now. If the chorus is half as good a copy of the CE1 as the microvibe is of the univibe, you'll be a very happy dude

Was using the Voodoo Chorus on the electric 12-string part of Hotel California last night, and man does it sound WARM. Settings are totally different than my old CE3. If you turn the Intensity up to 3:00, you can also get a nice phaser effect out of this pedal.
