Well you could always get a tremolo stopper if you don't like recessed models. grin

BTW, remember these? I always thought batch #7 of the USA production models was the best run for this series. Clearly not an Anderson or a Suhr, but they appeared to be a pretty good value for what was offered.

Oh i do.. they were nice.. that was one of the last batches before switching to japan wasn't it?

I'd thought about getting one of these and a trem setter, however.. my own personal view on floyds, after having owned a peavey wolfgang and owning an axis, is that there's no better way to set one up, where possible, other than flat on the body. I genuinely believe it improves the tone and sustain for being in contact with the rest of the guitar that way, in addition to the other benefits which the tremsetter provides. the floating trem on those really is a deal breaker for me sad
