xx Marshall Haze 40 combo

Just picked one of these up used, but in mint condition. I've been yearning for a nice ,portable tube combo amp for little jam sessions, etc, where I don't feel like carrying my SLO plus a cabinet. Overall, it is a pretty nice, warm sounding amp. Needs a good boost in front of it for sustaining violin like leads, but that is a minor issue. Not a lot of gain on tap. One thing that has haunted me though, since the day I bought my SLO,,,,is that no amplifier I've tried since getting my SLO100 will have that clarity and 3-D sound of a soldano......where the gain isn't muddy somehow. After my SLO, everything else just sounds inferior.
