« Thread started on: Jan 26th, 2009, 4:14pm »

hey guys... I haven't been on here in a while.. but along time slo user...

anyway... I thought I would ask you guys... besides guitar playing.. I workout quite a bit... the problem I have had was my hands being sore from the weights and fatigued... also I started experiencing wrist problems...

Has anyone else had any problems like this?

my quick fix.... (and I am not trying to push this product on anyone..)

I found these killer gloves/pads that help my hands a ton!!! way better then any lifting glove... but they also have break away wrist supports.. so it has helped my hands a wrists a ton!

If anyone else has had this problem have you found any other ways to correct it??

Here is the link to those gloves.. they are great for just about anything... I mow in them and move crap.. they come in very handy for loading in and out gear.. then I can just use the wrist straps when I play.. lol

I have the same problem. I've found that warming up, then stretching before playing really helps. I also stretch before going to bed. I ordered a set of those newgrips you suggested. I'll let you know how they work for me. Thanks.

I'm paraphrasing, but good old Uncle Ted (Nugent) once said "Keep playing until your damn fingers bleed, and then play some more". I don't think there's any better way to condition your hands and wrists against getting sore or hurting than to play and play and play.

Yeah, mine only hurt/tire when I'm playing bar chords for a long period. Its definitely cause I don't practice it enough. wink Seems like my thinner neck guitar would bring it on sooner (more pressure required), so I'm playing wide-fat necks today.
