xx Help with an old Ibanez CP 9 pedal
« Thread started on: Jul 30th, 2008, 11:45pm »

I picked up this compressor pedal many years ago.Its in pristine shape, only missing the battery.

Anyways,Im not an effects guy.I do everything off the knobs of the guitar.

So Im using this right now with my Hot Rod 50.Im looking for maybe a little boost, and to smooth out the response for lead playing when I play legato type playing.

I think Im on the right track with this thing, but,I have know manual for it,and Id really rather find out what exactly each knob does, rather then just twiddling away.

It has three knobs, attack time, level,I figured that one out,and threshold.

Anyone care to educate me as to what these knobs function ishuh??

there are a lot of articles on the internet that explain compression and it's components: attack, time (release?), and threshold.

Here's one: http://www.humbuckermusic.com/comex.html
