xx Speaker cab

Hi, i have a marshall 1936 which i want to replace the speakers. im wondering if i swap the current speakers with a vintage 30 and a emv12l, will emv12l will compleatly overpower the vintage 30? also how do emminance speakers soldano use compare with celestions? thanks

I've got two 2x12 cabs that I run with my HR and one has Emi' 12Vs and the other has Emi' EVL12 knock-offs and they work really well together. You shouldn't have any problems with them.

The 12V have the nice mids and cut and the other have a nice balanced tone that really complements one another.

My one peice of advice is make sure they are all the same impedence.

I have never had an opportunity to run Celestions right next to Eminence so I can't give you any exact comparision. You might check out the Gearpage. There are a lot of guys there who have though.
