I love the tone of my Gibson Les Paul thru my Soldano HR50. Nice crunch rhythm and sustaining creamy leads. What more could one ask for.

Even though my two main guitars are not Gibson LP's, they both have similarities to the LP double cutaway design and have dual humbuckers and carved tops. They seem to play very well with the Dec !!!

Yes, I agree that it's pretty close to optimum. I've been searching for a long time for an am like this that has just that combination of tone, with some extra in each of the tone controls and alot extra in the gain stage. I fine little amp. I enjoy the Les Paul/Soldano combination as well.

I agree. It's the ultimate in all things guitar and tone. If my guitar should slip and break It's neck. I'm sure it would go to tone Heaven and there It would meet many many more les pauls and soldano amps cheesy

All my guitars sound wicked thru my HR50. Great little amp for sure! I do however favour my PRS CE 22 with Dragon II pu's.

Yes, LP + Soldano = Tone heaven indeed. I just played and played last night for hours, I literally couldn't put my guitar down the sound was so cool.

Les Paul Standard with stock burstbucker pros, through HR50+ is a fantastic combination, you guys already know it is hard to express in words how great a Soldano sounds with a good guitar. My other guitars sound great with it too (PRS, SG) but my LP is kinda my workhorse, I really like the feel of it the best.

I am also using a Maxon OD820 on and off, for a bit more & slightly different overdrive. If you use an OD pedal in your signal chain you guys owe it to yourselves to try this pedal out, it is a star performer. It was the best one I tried, A/Bing out of ten or twelve pedals. Really nice smooth OD that doesn't suck your tone.
http://www.maxonfx.com/news/lt_od820klon_2004.php for a comparison of the highly regarded Klon Centaur against the Maxon OD-820. "The OD-820 literally smoked the Centaur."
