Sweet!!

Hope it's not sounds great though.. i was looking at splawns on their site and a new nitro on splawns site costs $1950. sounds great are charging $2660 for one. i get they're being imported but there isn't that discrepancy between U.S. soldano prices and uk prices..

but still sweet!!

They moved it to Sept. They are changing their format and said they wanted us in the new issue. But we were told 5 stars on both. grin

I am new to the Marsha. Have been looking at a Germino that is a JTM-45 clone. Love the cranked sound of that amp. Also like a cranked Splawn Quickrod. Usually if you get an amp that will do a JTM-45 hot cleans, it won't do a QuickRod high gain, and so the other way. How does a Marsha do at each end of the Marshall spectrum? JTM non-master volume cranked blues as well as Splawn gnarly high gain.

Thx....

They moved it until Sept. They are coming out with a new format and said they wanted us in that. Our add is in the mag though.

I've never had a Splawn. But the reviews coming in on the amp, and the design intention was to have a great front end clean, with the best hot rodded Marshall tone out there.

I have never read a bad thing about the Marshas and have only read great things.

Dave Friedman has incredible experience on many levels: years working on amps, exposure to many amp gurus and their products, some of the greatest players on the planet, having listened to and examined some of the greast amps on the planet including the SLO, Bogners, the great Marshall heads of Van Halen, Lynch, DiMartini, etc.

And Shark Diver, his partner is a straight up and honest guy.

I was assuming there was a business relationship or at least a degree of inside knowledge there. Good to know someone on the forum on the 'inside'.
I have listened to the Marsha clips on YT. Raves on it. And the Fortin line gets great praise. Something to keep an eye out for. The CCV is outrageous, I have heard the Marsha being compared to it. That is comment enough for me to get interested. Plus with a Marsha, you can get it a bit quicker from a well established businessman. Have heard horror stories on getting a CCV. Even Rig Talk has a user warning about crazy lead times.

Thanks for the info. I will keep an eye out.

George Lynch had a Marsha at a George Lynch/Michael Schenker concert on Friday night. The sound was fantastic! George was using a Diezel, a Marsha,another amp that looked like one of Dave Friedman's amps,a Sullivan (?) head and his Randall Lynchbox.

Shark,

Talked with Friedman at length last week. Can you send me dealer info. I'm interested in possibly carrying them myself as a full up custom Marhsall style purist amp line. Splawn is a great mid priced amp and very versatile, Diamond is an amazing amp line with a fabulous build quality but moves away from purists tones except for the Spitfire II which I own, and the Marsha, maybe Naked not sure, would be my high end Marshalleque EL 34 amp. Sure wish the mods weren't so rique' named. LOL. Doesn't bother me, but to some it might.

As a dealer,you could always employ substitute words for the mod acronyms:

HB = Brown Edge
HBE= Heavy Brown Edge

Or anything else that doesn't allude to an anus.
